Renowned model Katie Price, more famously known as Jordan, has announced that she will be releasing her very own range of custom iPods for fans who have longed to get their hands on her Apples.
Not known for her subtleness or taste, Price unveiled her range of custom iPods (which will be sold exclusively through her official website) dressed in a silver spandex suit with iPod headband. Designed by Katie herself alongside design company CRi-8, the custom iPods will come decorated in the predictable mix of girly, glittery butterflies, stars and hearts laser carved in to the iPods formerly sleek and stylish body.
With a standard 8GB iPod Touch costing just £150 nowadays, people who want to get their hands on the Jordan version will have to pay around £230 for the 'luxury' product.
After much deliberation, we have decided that we are going to be changing the name of the website.
The old name, Caesar Trading, was a classic, but it is not very relevant to the products that we sell. For a variety of technical reasons, this is not good for the business, and will not help sales in any way!
Therefore, we will be changing the name to 'The iShop'. We have bought the new domain the-ishop.co.uk, and we will be relaunching the website within the next week, once we have had our new logo designed.
When we move the website, this blog will also have a new website address - blog.the-ishop.co.uk. You will still be followers of the blog, but if for any reason you are not, just visit this web address and follow us again!
So, what's your opinion of the new name? Any good?
Having spent a while trying to figure out the Checkout Issue (its special name), we realised that there was a very simple solution. It was slap bang in front of us, and because we were expecting a fix that would require ages of tweaking, we seemed to overlook a very simple solution.
I won't bore you all with the details, but I can happily say that the store is now up and running as normal. Any discount codes that you may have uncovered in your virtual travels can be used as normal, and all products are purchasable!
At the moment, the website is having a bit of a hiccup! There seems to be an issue with the checkout, that doesn't allow you to proceed once you've made an account, and filled in your address details.
You will see the following message:
"Sorry, we are not shipping to your region at this time. Please contact us for alternative arrangements."
We understand that this must be a complete pain, and we are also scratching our heads over it. However, we are putting all our effort into sorting this out, and we should have it fixed by the end of today (fingers crossed!).
So until then, if you desperately need to place an order for something, say for example, you need something before the weekend, you can email us at support@caesartrading.co.uk, and we will still be able to process your order. We will send you an invoice for the order via PayPal, and you can pay it that way - nice and easy! Just make sure that you've created an account with us first, so that we can add your order to the account (for boring yet important financial reasons).
Once the issue has been fixed, I will say so on this blog. If you want to be notified of the fix, then please create an account, and select the 'Subscribe to Newsletter' option. We will send an email to all subscribers as a notification.
Today I am officially announcing the release of the new Silicone Cases range for the iPhone. I did say that I would release them earlier, but due to some technical issues with the website, I was forced to delay the release somewhat.
there are three types of Silicone case - the first has a puzzle pattern, and the second has a special non-slip design, and the third is designed to look like a tyre (very cool!)
Here are some images of the new range:
I will be stocking the following colours for the first two types:
Puzzle:
Pink
Purple
Magenta
Blue
Light Blue
Yellow
Red
Non-Slip
Green
Purple
Blue
Yellow
For the tyre design, there is only black (for obvious reason).
If you're looking to buy a new iPhone case, then this is the best range to choose from, just so long as you're looking for good value for your money!
So, given the choice, which one of these would you buy?
In light of the much-anticipated Apple iPad, I decided to read about it on their website (apple.co.uk).I was very impressed with the features of the iPad, and was happy to see that it will be released in the UK, on May 28th. It is a rather expensive piece of kit, and because I already have a perfectly-capable iPod Touch, I don't think I'll be rushing out to buy it on the 28th. However, should when it inevitably becomes cheaper, and when they release newer and better models, I might go and buy one.
In case you don't already know about the iPad, here is Apple advertisement:
Now, onto the actual point of this post today..
From May 10th, Caesar Trading will be stocking iPad accessories! In conjunction with the UK pre-order date, customers will be able to place their orders on our website, and have them sent in time for your iPad on the 28th.
One thing I would like to note, is that in the iPad package, you do not get any screen protectors! I thought this was bizarre, and so I have decided that I will be stocking some LCD screen protectors, made specifically for the iPad, on the website.
There will be 2 screen protectors included, and a cleaning cloth, all for £7.50.
If you've pre-ordered or are planning to buy an iPad, then you will probably want to buy some protectors to ensure that the screen doesn't get scratched. Here's the website address: http://tiny.cc/yr1pi.
Today I had to make the decision to pull the KA08 mobile phone from the store catalogue. Basically, there were some issues with delivery, and the supplier wasn't packing the phones correctly, frequently resulting in cracked screens upon arrival - as I'm sure you can understand, this is a problem for both myself and for you as a customer.
Therefore, until I can find a better supplier, who actually knows how to pack a phone, Caesar Trading will not be selling the KA08 (or indeed any phones) for a while. But, I do hope to begin selling phones in the not-too-distant future.
In the next couple of days, I'll be adding a new range of iPhone cases. I've realised that although the current leather cases are all hunky-dory, I think that it's time for a bit of variety.
Here are a couple of images from the new range:
Every case comes with a free plastic LCD screen protector (as you can see in the image), in order to ensure that your iPhone's screen does not get scratched during day-to-day use (unless you already have one - even so, it's nice to have spares) The website will stoc the following colours:
Orange
Red
Light Pink
Fluorescent Pink
Grey
Green
Purple
Blue
Clear
This particular range is all plastic, but I will be releasing a range of silicone cases within the next few weeks, once the plastic covers have been properly catalogued and advertised etc (all the boring bits). I shall post details of the next range in a similar fashion to this one.
So, would you buy one of these? Give me your opinion by leaving a comment.
As an incentive for the new(ish) website, customers can tell friends and family about Caesar Trading, and if they buy a product, the original customer (this could be you!) will receive a 10% discount on their next purchase, no matter what the price or product is.
The more in-depth version of the Customer Referral Program is here if you're interested - http://tinyurl.com/y4o8ofj
For the next post, I'll be writing about our new iPhone case range.
Was just speaking to a friend of mine about the online store, and I realised that I still don't have any products orientated at drivers! There is a chance that I will be selling a special bluetooth adapter that slots on the inside of the steering wheel, like this one here.
Would that be of interest to you? If not (or even if so), what other kinds of car-orientated products would you like to see? I have plans to sell a bluetooth product that allows your bluetooth-enable mobile phone or iPhone to connect to the speakers of your car, instead of messing around with AUX cables and tape player converters.
Tell me what you think (reply using the comments please!)
Last night, I set up the website's new Chat Support system. Provided by Zopim, the small toolbar at the bottom of the page allows you to chat with me, as though you were using MSN, Yahoo! etc. All you have to do is click on the Chat Now! button, and away you go! The button also says whether or not I'm to talk back with you. But if I'm not online - fear not! The program sends your message as an email to my work phone, so that I can log on as soon as possible and get back to you to answer your question. Why don't you give it a go now? Just visit the homepage, and when you see the chat toolbar at the bottom, just click and start typing.
Hope that helps anyone who wasn't sure what an earth the toolbar was!
The winner will be randomly chosen out of all the followers of the blog, at a pre-specified date. If you're the winner, you will be able to choose which of the products you want!
To follow the blog, just scroll down to the bottom of this page, and select Follow. You can sign in using one of the following accounts: Google, Twitter, Yahoo!, AIM, OpenID and Netlog - all very easy to do, no worries.
Well, that's all for now - I look forward to welcoming you to the blog.
Welcome to the brand-new Caesar Trading blog! Here, you will be able to keep up-to-date with important product updates and general website information.
Also, as the owner of Caesar Trading, and the writer of this blog, I would like to formally introduce myself, and the business:
My name is Tristan Bacon, and I am the one-man team behind the Caesar Trading website. I run the business by myself, including sales, marketing, finance and general admin. I'm coping at the moment!
Caesar Trading was set up in early February 2010, so is still very new. The actual website is even newer, having been opened in early March. Originally, I was an eBay seller, selling a lot of the product range currently on the website. My topsellers were the iPod/iPhone Earphones (with microphone), and the iPod/iPhone mains charger, but then I decided to expand with my own online store - the eBay seller fees were a bit too high for me to qualify selling on there. However, I had to sacrifice the almost-garuanteed customer-base that eBay offered, which leaves me where I am today!
So, I shall finish off now, as I must update the store's inventory.
Please tell your friends, family, co-workers and the dustbin-man about this blog, and about the website, as all sales would be massively appreciated!
